Veda Parishad was established in Razole, East Godavari District as long back as in 1951 by late Ponnada Sreerama Venkata Surya Rao, which Parishad is the 2nd Godavari after Rajahmundry city. Gowthami Pushkara Pathasala was sponsoring part of the amount and donations collected in the village and honoring the veda pundits with monetary benefits on "ANANTA PADMANABHA CHATURDASI" of Bhadrapada masam Sukla Paksham usually falls in September every year. A very good tradition of transparency is followed by publishing a book-let by accounting the receipts and expenditure since 1951. of its kind in East

Every year Philanthropic donors were contributing small amounts for the purpose. Late Sri Ponnada Sreerama Venkata Suryarao conducted "Veda Sabhas" till his death in 1964 and, after him late Parupudi Visweswara Rao took-up the task and continued till 1970. Later late S. V. Ramasastry (Sarat Pantulu) started conducting Veda Sabhas till 2001. For a period of 30 years, he collected about 3 lacks of rupees as a permanent fund.

While so the management of Veda Pathasala was entrusted to one Sri P. Hanumantharao, advocate and he formed a separate body called as "Razole Taluk Veda Sastra Parishad" and it was registered as Registered No. 562/2001 by including all the members of Veda Pathasala as Ex-officio members and by electing other respected persons from all sections of society and it started organizing Veda Parishad every year from 2001 up-to date without any break. Income tax exemption was obtained for the donations given to the Razole Taluk Veda Sastra Parishad under Section 80 (g) of the Income Tax Act. Three categories of donors as "MAHARAJA POSHAKAS", "RAJA POSHAKAS" and "POSHAKAS" for the amounts paid more than Rs. 25,000/- Rs. 10,000/- and Rs. 5,000/- respectively. The amounts collected will be deposited permanently in fixed deposits and only interest is being spent for honoring Veda pundits under three classes like Class-I - "Ghanapaties", Class-II - "Kramapaties" and rest as IIIrd Classes. One Machiraju Suryanarayana Murty (since died) of Hyderabad became the biggest donor by donating more than Rs. 1,50,000/- in installments. He was made the honorary Chairman and continued till his death. The present body is as follows:-
